Delib have completed their nation audit of Local Authority eConsultation (April-August'09).

What did they find out? Here's an exec summary:-
* Over 1/3 of local authorities provide no feedback on the outcomes of their consultations
* Only 1 in 5 authoritites allow citizens to sign up for consultation notifications
* Nearly 2/5 of authorities have accessibility errors on their consultation web pages
* Over 1/3 of local authorities do not list consultation in their A-Z feature
* Just over 1/4 of authorities have a consultation database that can be filtered
* One in 5 authoriites provide no facilities to respond to consultations through their website
* Only 1/4 of authorities provide information on past, present and future consultations on their website
* Consultation information of any kind cannot be found in 10% of cases when search is used
* One in 5 authorities do not hae a distinct web-page for presenting information on their consultation activities
